Giving Tuesday Update

The goal of our Giving Tuesday campaign is to install our first satellite medical station in the village of Brely, which has the greatest need due to its remote location. The station will be staffed by one of the nurses that received their education through an HPI scholarship, and will provide services to 5,000 people living in Brely and surrounding high mountain villages. This will be the first opportunity for these villagers to have access to medical services. Village health care workers and birthing attendants will provide support to the nurse. Each station will have emergency medical supplies and will be able to host Red Cross mobile units that provide immunizations to rural populations. The design is based on the current classroom design and can be built and provided with supplies for $30,000. Mike Devlin has generously provided a kickstart donation of $21,000 to get us started.
